I think Rumple's feelings for Cora were something akin to infatuation. He may have felt some kind of love for her or, rather, what he thought was love. More in love with the idea of her, of someone else who was as power hungry as himself, and latched onto that her and that feeling of kinship and familiarity because it made him feel good. Had they managed to stay together, he likely would've snapped out of his delusion and left her after a little while. Unfortunately, it is a type of relationship I am well aware of. As for Cora, I'm not sure. Chances are she didn't love him truly either, but maybe more so than he loved her.

I am on my third watch of this this week - I am largely house/bed bound by chronic illness and I'm in constant need of things to occupy my days and Haley is just so dang delightful. I have never watched this show in my life but these videos are just perfect, joyous, silly background ways to keep myself company and I love them as much as Haley loves Ashley Boyd. It infuriates me the way the show tries to portray Snow's parents as these wonderful, kind people even though they were actually terrible. *Spoilers for later on in the series* . . . . Princess Ava was a spoiled, jealous mean girl who treated everyone she viewed as "beneath" her (so...basically everyone) like dirt. And King Leopold was a creep. He fell in love with Cora but when she proved to be "unpure" he tossed her aside. He then married Ava because she was "pure" and she'd give him a "pure as snow" child. Sickening. Then like 2 decades later, he marries the barely legal daughter of his would-be lover because Regina looks like Cora so he desires her but he thinks Regina is "pure" so he can marry her where he couldn't marry her mother. DISGUSTING. He then proceeds to isolate and neglect his new young bride so severely that she turns to a creepy wizard for help escaping her horrible life. Is it really any wonder Regina hated Leopold? He was a gross creep who married her against her will and forced her to be a mother to a child she hated. Which yes. Obviously Regina's hatred for Snow was incredibly misplaced but since she'd banished Cora to another realm, Snow was the only person left who had a role (however unintentionally) in Daniel's death so Regina put all her rage on this child. And that's awful. But it also goes to show how much Leopold neglected Regina because she was not subtle about her hatred of Snow and any adult paying attention to their interactions would've seen how Regina really felt about Snow. Leopold never noticed because he spent as little time as possible with Regina all while isolating her from everyone but himself and Snow. He SUCKED and I hate that the show never truly acknowledges that. Snow eventually accepts that her mother wasn't all good but she never comes to terms with how terrible her father was. And neither does the show. Anyway...season 1 has some good moments but it is pretty low on my season ranking.

Hot take maybe? Season 3 is my favorite. It's messier than the first 2 seasons but I just adore the Neverland arc and the Missing Year flashbacks from 3B. I love Robin Hood and his relationship with Regina. I love Regina's character development and the way she truly feels like part of the core group/family this season. This is also the only season where I think the split season/split storyarcs really work. ~M

I love your enthusiasm throughout this video but especially when things get absolutely ridiculous! Also I love that you love Regina & Robin. Their storyline in season 3 was so good.~M

I agree they shouldn't have killed Neal off. He & Emma could've been platonic true loves and happily moved on with other romantic interests. They could've used Neal whenever they needed Henry out of the action because it would've made sense for him to be spending time with his dad. Killing Neal was also a slap in the face to Robert Carlyle who only took the role of Rumple/Gold because of the Bae storyline. He only agreed to play that character for the father-son story and the writers went and killed his son. It was one of the worst decisions the writers made. That said, I adore Robin Hood and his relationship with Regina so...there are worse decisions the writers will make in seasons 4 & 5 that put the Neal thing right out of my mind.

7:40 the only, ONLY way I can see the top working is that in dreams, Cobb is imparting his will on the top, making it spin forever. If it falls down when he doesn't want it to, it's in reality. It's a very dumb detail that should have been further explained in the movie, but it's all I could think of. FURTHERMORE, this way of using the top does help explain the ending. Cobb isn't trying to keep the top up, it doesn't matter to him anymore.
